I was born in Idaho & lived in Florida & Texas, as I was growing up. We have 5 wonderful children & 16 delightful grandchildren. I retired from medical office work in 2008. I come from a family devoted to doing family history research...grandmother, aunts & mother. I have done family history work, off & on, over the years. I now "have been bitten" by the importance of this work & love to work on my family history research each day. |

I attached the marker you requested. My only concern came from the fact we were looking for a Gschwend marker. There was none, and through a sort of "Miracle" my helper stumbled on this one. In the case of marker /cemetery searches, a female's stone seems to always carry the married name and only in rare case does is the maiden name included. We are past that problem with this request. I was delighted that it worked out. There's always a thrill in helping locate and film a marker for someone else.

This stone is cut with her married name and her maiden as a middle name. Her memorial page is under her maiden name. Do you want the Kreis marker photo on her current page or would you want to change her page to Krei with her maiden name included?

I frequently stumble on a marker that seems to call out to me for recognition. I don't remember where this one was located in the Wartburg Cemetery, but will find it on our next journey. I was shocked that it was not listed in Find-A-Grave, and was a Kreis! You might have knowledge or interest. I posted the memorial page with a marker photo (Henry Ernest Kreis). Unfortunately his birth and death occurred between 1880 & 1890.
If you have knowledge or thoughts on this kris, let me know.

I saw your name on find a grave site as I was looking up this name. Are you related to her? I am related to her. I just wanted to see if there was a connection.

Do you know if her husband and daughter are actually buried there? There are no dates of death on their portion of the stone.
Have a great day!
