The names of my direct line are Jones, Janzen, McKinstry, Yoho, Unger, Weeks, and Wyss., with the help of a cousin we have traced back our ancestry to the American Revolutionary War (Apr 19, 1775 - Sep 3, 1783) as well as the 1620 voyage of the Mayflower. Our ancestor John Alden helped Myles Standish founded Duxbury, Massachusetts. John Alden was an ancestor to President John Adams and his family. A direct descendant of John was Scott Alden (1907 - 1977), who served as an assistant to FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. Also a descendant was Vernon Alden who served as President of Ohio University from 1962 until 1967. The main campus library at OU is named in his honor. John Aldean (1599 - 1687) & Pricilla Mullins (1602 - 1688) was my 11th great grandfather & grandmother, She was the only surviving member of the Mullins family after losing her father, step-mother, and her brother Joseph during the first winter in Plymouth, although she had another brother and a sister who remained in England.
