I am of the Anne Arundel County, Maryland, Stockett line. I am descended from Captain Thomas Stockett who emigrated from England to America about 1658. I am trying to find grave sites of my line of Stocketts. |
I also am trying to trace the Stockett family branches that left Maryland and settled in Pennsylvania, Montana, California, Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi and more.

You are very welcome. As a Hulme descendant, I have Pearre-attuned cemetery radar. If you see any that could use improvement, just holler. I keep a "re-do" list for stuff that looked better in the field. Happy holidays! --H
|James Goldsborough Bigwood||Re: Joseph Noble Stockett & Sophia Watkins Stockett|
So wonderful to meet a Stockett cousin on Find-a-Grave! Joseph Noble Stockett & Sophia Watkins Stockett are my 4th-great grandparents, so I was happy to sponsor and upload pertinent images to their memorials. Speaking of which, unless you're more closely related to them than I am, would you consider transferring Joseph & Sophia my way? I would be eternally grateful! I have quite a bit of information that I would like to add to their profiles.
Also, it would be great to connect with you on Ancestry.com. I will send you an invitation to my tree. Both of those images of Joseph are already on there, so feel free to save them to your tree from mine.
All the best,
|Kenneth W. Campen||Harold Stockett|
Was Harold an elementary school teacher in Portland Oregon in the 1950's? My 6th grade teachers name was Harold Stockett.....he was the best.....a no nonsense guy. Thank you, Ken Campen
My information is from the cemetery records. You are correct, the middle name is Campfield. According to the records, his wife is not buried with him (or she has no marker). He is next to MAry Kneedler and Dwight Hazelton

Your welcome, glad to help.

Wonderful! Was so ashamed of Mr. Stockett's marker photo that I went back down there today to get a better one. Worked out well, because I was there at the right time, and with a good brush, to get a decent photo of his wife's marker, which wasn't the case yesterday. Will upload the lot of them, with improvements. Looking forward to seeing the portrait! --Harriet

Lois, just FYI, Mr. Stockett is buried adjacent to Elvira Pearre Stockett (1906-1928), who does not yet have a memorial. The two of them are buried by one of the Hulme families. --Harriet
