I am a retired patent attorney living in Kansas City, Missouri, however my roots are firmly planted in Texas. My father's people were German Catholic immigrants who settled in Texas both before and immediately after the Civil War, with some arriving before the battle of San Jacinto. His family names include Kleypas, Beimer, Dolle, Haar and Eggemeyer. On my mother's side, I am descended mostly from old south plantation families who came to Collin County, Texas to start over after the Civil War, including the Smith and Bumpass families from Person County North Carolina and the Harris family of Southampton, Virginia. I also have ties to the Richmonds of Lee County, Virginia, the Allison and Harless families from Madison County, Alabama, and to the Wisdom Family who came to Collin County from Arkansas.

I am always happy to make edits to memorials, and will gladly transfer memorials to family members of the deceased, unless they are my ancestors as well.
