Bio and Links
Bio Photo We try to photograph entire cemeteries. Often when on vacation we will photograph, therefore you may see our photos have been taken in many different areas of the the country.

Only personal photos and grave photos should be posted in the photo section, all others will be removed. This includes death cert, obits, and any other scanned documents.

No info from census, others trees, cause of death, or negative reports about their life and circumstances which are disrespectful. Bios should reflect the positive aspects of life. It is a memorial after all

Under no circumstances do we link to burial unknown, link to duplicates, or allow our photos to be added to duplicates. Any use of our photos on other memorials on Find A Grave will be reported to administration.

Transfers are generally per Find A Grave guidelines. There are always exceptions within reason. No mass transfers.

Please use the edit function on the memorials, for links, dates etc. Edits/requests on the message board will be ignored.

We may ask for documentation, don't take it personally, but with so many sending edits we try to stay as accurate as possible.

I borrowed this from another member, and I could not have stated it better. " The first memorial created in the correct cemetery (NOT as a burial unknown memorial) is the permanent memorial. Date of creation is not considered when comparing a memorial created correctly, in a verified cemetery, and one created as "burial unknown.

**When notified FAG will always remove/merge a burial unknown moved into a cemetery where a grave has been verified. "

I love a clean edit box, I can't help my self. It is the one and only tidy part of life, my edits on F.A.G.:)

I see you added a better photo to the above. Thank you. I noticed you stated that you photo entire cemeteries. Is there a chance that you took photos of the entire section that Ben Shively is in? The reason I am asking is, that we were thinking of doing that and did not want to duplicate what you may have done. If you have done entire sections of that cemetery can you list them.

Jean Holbrook Gadie (1929-2011) cannot be the mother of Arthur J. Foucher (1905-1964). She wasn't born until 1929.

RE: Rath, Old Rath, and New Rath
Thank you very much! That is helpful. It looks like quite a job you are doing, to transcribe from those books!!!

I see what you mean, how they have the three as separate cemeteries, and New Rath has the most burials.

I hope I can get to Tralee one day and look for myself!

Thanks again, Scout!

RE: Rath, Old Rath, and New Rath
Hi, Scout,

Thank you for writing back so quickly! I thought you were in Ireland! :-)

I just found a post from 1999 on Rootsweb message boards:
"The main cemetery for Tralee is on the main road just outside
of Tralee, in the area of Rathass, and it is called Rath Cemetery. It is broken into two areas, Old Rath and New Rath, but all in the same graveyard."

On Find a Grave, I noticed that there are 195 memorials in "Old Rath" cemetery, 107 memorials in "Rath" cemetery, and 6,626 memorials in "New Rath" cemetery! It looks like most people must call the whole thing "New Rath."

Scout, I would LOVE it if you would send me the link to the burials list. That would help me tremendously. Thank you VERY much for your help! And thanks again for all that you do!

Rath, Old Rath, and New Rath
Hi, Scout,

Thank you for all of your volunteer work-- I greatly appreciate it! It is SO helpful to those of us researching our ancestors!

I am in the U.S. and doing research on my ancestors in Kerry. I'm confused about the Rath Cemeteries/graveyards. I see there is a "Rath," a "New Rath," and an "Old Rath" cemetery.

I am so sorry to bother you with this, but I can't find answers to my questions anywhere on line.

Are they all the same cemetery, just different sections? If they are not the same cemetery, do you have any ideas on how I can see the different locations on a map? Google maps only has "Rath" cemetery. When I put Old Rath or New Rath into the search, it says "No results."

Do you by any chance know the dates the different Rath cemeteries or sections first came into use?

Thank you very much for any information or guesses that you might have about this.

And again, thank you SO much for all that you do!

Thank you. I moved them both. I thought Shanghai cemetery was on both sides of the street. Sorry.

I know. I was surprised by that too. :-) I saw the obituary for Carl. He was my grandmother's cousin. So that led me to connect his family. Perfect timing. Thank you for adding Harry.
