I am from Portsmouth , Scioto County , Ohio . I enjoy Genealogy and the research of my many Family Tree lines. I also visit Cemeteries of my Ancestors and record their history .|
I have found out many interesting things about my Family Tree . I have discovered that I have deep " Dutch " roots that trace back to Colonial NEW Netherlands( America) before 1642, some 130 years before the American Revolution. I also have many family ancestors that trace back to early New England Colonial-American families. Many of my Family lines trace back to England , France , Netherlands , Ireland and Scotland . One Family branch the " Coryell / Coriell " used to hang out with George Washington during the American Revolution .* see Coryell Ferry 1776 .
Perhaps the most interesting , is that I am related to the " Gorsuch " family that settled Baltimore, Maryland in the mid 1600's. My Gorsuch ancestors are descendend from " Royal Lines " of Europe , including many Kings and Queens of England ,France , Spain , Scotland and more..
I also have many German & Prussian Immigrant lines from the mid 1800's .
later , many of my family ancestors migrated west and became early pioneers & settlers of Kentucky and Ohio . I am connected to many of the Earliest Families of Scioto County Ohio .
feel free to contact me , I am willing to help other families to obtain a gravesite photo of their ancestors in Scioto County . I am happy to photograph their ancestors for them .
I also want Find-a-Grave Volunteers to send photos of the Gravesites of my family ancestors that I cannot travel to... I have Many out of State Gravestites that I would like photographed...

I see you have John & Haverilda Hinchliffe Memorials. I just made a memorial for their daughter Blanche and Husband Paul.
Would you like these transferred to you?

I appreciate your reply.I recently visited, with the help of the property owner, Cockrell Cemetery. Old old cemeteries interest me and am so sad to hear about your ancestors being buried in that area and not able to find them. Keep in touch.....Best, Kay

Aaron can you share with me the documentation you have or your,Seth White from Rutland,Vermont?
I have a Franklin,Vermont marriage record of a Sally Sanderson to a Seth White on Jan 28,1803.My fourth great grandmother(memorial # 69269071)Sarah "Sally" Stone first husband ,Ebenezer Sanderson died in 1800,three years prior to Seth and Sally's marriage in 1803.I kwow for sure,Sarah is buried next to her third husband,Israel Seeley in Dunham,Missisquoi,Quebec,Canada. I'm searching for a,Seth White who died before 1820(the yaer Israel Seeley married Sally White)who might have been living in Franklin or Rutland Counties.I have not been able to locate a death record for a Seth White in Vermont.I'm not sure if youe Seth White and mine maybe one in the same?

Thank you for the info, Aaron. Very kind of you. I am not a Coriell descendant, but my first husband was. His father was Walter < grandfather was Howard < Leroy < Simon < 4th ggfather was Elias, who is interred at Batterson. Therefore, I research Coriells for my daughter and grandsons. I was in Columbus on business for a few days, so I planned my trip around stops at likely cemeteries of their ancestors and relations.

I'm sadden to hear of your mothers passing. A Mother's passing is one of our most difficult times in our time here. My own mother passed away when I was only 5... but I still have certain memories of her and I miss her as an adult even more than when I was a small boy.
I am so grateful you have remember me after all these years. I look forward to hearing from you in the future. Marty

Hi-- I was researching the Wood family and found your notes on William Wood:
Find A Grave Memorial# 95282144
for William Wood:
* infant child , probably the child of Abner B. Wood and wife Rebecca ( Campbell ) Wood.
William Wood was actually born to Theophilas R Wood and Chloe Renfro Wood. Abner B. and Rebecca Campbell Wood are the grandparents, and had stopped having children before William's birth in 1822. William also had a twin brother, John, who lived to adulthood.
Do you want more information, or can you change the note just based on the above info?
Thank you so much--they are my ancestors!
|Brenda Daniel||Horance Hayward|
I am helping a lady here in town with some of her family history.
Her line is:
Grace Hayward McDowell
DeWinta McDowell Hammond (went back to maiden name though)
Cecilia Hammond Rose
She just today stated she wished she had a picture of Horance to put on her Wall Of Honor. She has many members of family that were in the service. She knew Horance was GAR. Now I can share with her that there is a pic of him online! Horance's son Orange is buried here in Palisade, NE and many family members so if you need any pics from here just let us know
Thanks so much.

Just found her death certificate and thought it would be useful to add it to her memorial.
two other siblings of Catherine are also at Greenlawn...Taressa Kehoe and Nancy Kehoe Salsbury. Thought you might care to let your contact know. thanks
