HEADSTONE PHOTOS:

Family researchers have my permission to use any HEADSTONE or CEMETERY photos I have posted in their family trees (photo credit and link to memorials is appreciated).

BIOGRAPHIES:

Unless otherwise stated in the narrative, bios posted on the memorials I manage are my own original compositions using material found in my research.

Now that ancestry.com is using findagrave as a source, I am finding that some tree owners are going a step further and copying my memorial biographies and adding them as their own stories in their trees, without the source information. PLEASE, if you copy/paste my bios to your ancestry tree or anywhere else, INCLUDE my source information, and a link to the memorial. That way, serious researchers can see where your information comes from and be able to verify it for themselves.

These profiles are revised as additional information becomes available and if you have not linked to the memorial, other researchers would have no way of knowing that.

Some tree owners are already doing this, and it is very much appreciated.

ABOUT ME:

I started collecting family data in the early 1980's and have been seriously researching / addicted since 2009. I am mostly researching my and/or my grandchildren's ancestors, and adding other profiles when I can.

I have created or manage many profiles of my direct ancestors or other close relatives.

I am willing to find stones & take photos in and around Havelock, NC, if I can help; just email me with the cemetery, plot, and person ID info.

I do appreciate correction suggestions (with sources), and will try to make the corrections within 48 hours. If I have not changed it within a week, your email may have fallen through the cracks and a reminder is appreciated. Please cite your source for info you would like added to a profile.

Thanks,
Lorraine
