I was born in Boone Co. Ill. on my Grandparents farm in June 1935. Graduated from Clinton H.S. Clinton WI. in 1953. After graduation I went to work on a farm for $80/mo + board and room.
I decided I wanted to see the world so I joined US Navy in May 1954. I did my boot camp & MM school at Great Lakes, Illinois and served for 4 years.
After my Navy stint, I went to Madison Area Tech College in Madison, Wisconsin and studied Mechanical Engineering. Graduated in 1963.
I worked for a medical equip company, as a Mechanical Engineer and retired in 1998. We now reside in Central Wisconsin.
I have been interested in my ancestry and heritage for many years. After retirement, my wife and I have been hunting and searching across the country for our families. That is what brought me to Find a Grave. I have found many ancestors here and am still searching the Waite, Howard, Ryer, Mayhew, Loomis, Babcock, Tarrant, Van Eps, Wheelock, Haskell, Witham, and Christiansen families from Maine to California and beyond.
