Bio

My Father and Mother Lawrence and Olive (Stillman) Gran.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I started working with genealogy in 2002 and try to keep my limbs and branches up to date and expanding. With the availability of www.findagrave.com, I have expanded my interest to linking my ancestors together on-line wherever they may be buried and then adding photos from my archives and the many F-A-G photo volunteers.
Paternal surnames include Gran, Larson, Evenson, Berg, Bonander, Aisenbrey, Ellinger, Fund and their ancestors, descendants and extended families.
Maternal surnames include Wolcott, Blake, Lord, Stillman, Sperry, Redfield, Knigge, Ellingsen, Walker, Holm, Jochims, Simek, Durston, Clark, Burgin, Brunais, Pearson and their ancestors, descendants and extended families.
About 2002, I obtained Family Tree Maker data from relatives that have been working on genealogy a lot longer than me so I appreciate the efforts of those that have gone before me who spent their vacations at Ellis Island, Utah, county seats, etc doing genealogy the hard way.
F-A-G adds a whole new dimension to genealogy and is a valuable tool to assist with locating long-lost family members and becomes a catalyst for communications with their descendants. It would be nice if headstone photos included GPS coordinates which would be relatively easy as compared to lot numbers which still require a map to locate headstones.
I do not create, or have transferred, memorials that are not included in my family tree. Consequently, I would be reluctant to transfer other than if you were a closer family member than me and willing to assume maintenance for a entire "branch" of family memorials. My only hope is that the intent of the recipient is to expand and enhance what is already on line.
If you find errors in any of my memorials, I would greatly appreciate an email. My email address is provided and my messages are enabled. I prefer an email as it will get my attention faster than the "next time I log on".
If you are submitting edits via the automatic system, please provide your email address or have messages enabled within your profile. If I have questions regarding the suggested change and I can't communicate with you, I will be forced to "Decline". If you do not comply with this request, please don't waste my time, after I have "Declined" your request due to inability to communicate with you.
If something happens where I am unable to maintain my memorials, Find A Grave administrators are hereby directed to transfer all my memorials to Peggy & Family Find A Grave Member #48201049.
