One thing that has really struck me when I started checking the family tree is how so many different individuals down through the years from so many parts of the country and from other countries can meet, marry, have children and end up with one single individual.
Any photos i may post here at Find A Grave, I consider them to be available for anyone to use in what manner they wish (to copy, download, or use on their memorial pages, personal family trees,to share, etc.)
The only thing I ask is that it not be for profit but rather for helping each other in your search for family.
I would be glad to transfer management of any memorials I have posted if anyone has a relationship or a closer relationship than what I have, just ask.

Hi Norman, I hope all is well. Can we merge your entry for Ocia Evans 171745748 with mine (162485862) and John A EVANS 171745741 with mine (134970584)? I noticed your beautiful cemetery photos have removed my photo requests. Thank you, Dorothy

Thank you for providing the correct cemetery information Norman. I think several "Oakwood Cemetery" burials are actually in West Oakwood. I appreciate your work on behalf of Find A Grave, thank you for sharing.

I was updating my 'Find A Grave Friends' files & found your message on the Mills & Hammer families. My maternal grandmother was Griffith-Beals, w/ direct Mills connection. Check your reg. mail for another message from me. Scot Lady
|Carol Mackenzie||date of birth of Lydia Cross|
My date calculator says 12 Dec 1865 for the date of birth based on the 28 y 4 m 28 d on the headstone. Do you know where the 1866 date came from?
Thanks Carol Mackenzie, Montana
|Sheryl Stookey||Kinsey B. Dawson|
Here is what I found out. Kinsey was buried first and Lucille Louise Hess was cremated and her ashes were buried on top. I am told that often times relatives request this. Could this Lucille Hess be Kinsey's mother? Do you want the picture of the grave marker. There is no stone for either one...just a marker for Lucille.
Lucille Louise Hess was born in 1917 died at age 84 in 2001.

Yes, sir!! She is listed on the Oak Hill Cemetery's burial list. Block 178 Space SG23. We found Block 178, Space SG23 with someone else's marker there so need to find out what is up with that. Hopefully, it is an error on the location listing.

There has been an interesting development in which there will need to be some further investigating. I need to contact the overseers of this cemetery because (1) either they have the wrong plot number assigned to Kinsey, or (2) they have buried someone else in her spot as there is a marker clearly with someone else's name where Kinsey should be. So, thinking there must be some record mistake, I will have to try and get a hold of them to make an inquiry. I have several questions for this cemetery now so it may take a few days before I get this resolved. No one answered when I called last time (middle of the day, too).

Norman, you have been a good egg about the Wardell duplication oops's!! Thank you for kindly moving marker photos to mine and deleting yours!!!! I am so glad you have a good knowledge about many Macon County cemeteries, that helps smooth out wrinkles when oops's and boo boos are found and in need of fixing!!! :-) Pam
