In tracing my own family tree I have taken several photos of my family gravestones. I recently revisited a cemetery hoping to be able retake a photo of an old weathered stone in better lighting and found that stone was now buried under grass and barely visible (in only 2 years!). That experience has inspired me and I encourage others to seek out cemeteries in your area and add memorials and PHOTOS, especially for those vulnerable and deteriorating stones that may not be there much longer. I am gladly volunteering my efforts to help others find their family graves as several Find a Grave volunteer contributors have helped me.
