Working on mostly my own family, but enter other burials as I find them. I believe in accuracy. If I have sent you a correction, it is based on documentation. If you would like a copy of the documentation, you need only ask and I will gladly share. As in life, as in genealogy: Practice random acts of kindness.

Names currently researching: Pletcher, Holter, Silvius, Rudisill.

Currently working on Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Lancaster, PA.

If you have a suggestion for my Unrecognized Famous Women virtual cemetery, please let me know. FindAGrave is very one-sided when it comes to famous memorials, for example, considering single term state reps (here in PA that is 2 years) to be "famous" while women who equally contributed to society and were well-known during their lifetimes are not given the same recognition. Consider that Purple Heart recipients (usually men) are automatically entered as famous, but not so for Presidential Distinguished Federal Civilian Service awardees (sometimes women). FindAGrave already recognizes individuals who become famous posthumously (most artists) so finally getting the recognition that was always deserved should not be a barrier to recognition as famous. Fame can also be local as opposed to national or international - there is a mechanism for rating someone's fame. If any of these women are recognized by FindAGrave as famous, I will gladly remove them from my virtual cemetery.
