Bio

Retired federal employee who enjoys stalking the dead. Have been doing research on Burcham, Engle, Lindsey, Garrett, Barnes, Owens, Holder & Jourdan families in AL, MS & TN. If I have created a memorial for one of your family members, feel free to ask for a transfer. I do make mistakes when my mind is working faster that my fingers. If you see any of them, let me know.
As some of my Find A Grave friends may know, I am a Vietnam veteran. Please take a minute to look at my Vietnam Women Veterans (VWV) Virtual Cemetery. These are the ladies that served in Vietnam that were not nurses and have passed since serving. We went into a combat zone with no combat training or weapons to serve our country and only our families and friends knew we were there. Our book, "Women Vietnam Veterans: Our Untold Stores" is now on sale on Amazon if you would like to learn more about our time in Vietnam. Several of the ladies in my Virtual Cemetery are truly American Heroes who served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. May their sacrifice never be forgotten.
I have taken on a new project for a friend. During WWII, an all black WAC unit, the 6888th Postal Directory Battalion, went to Birmingham, England and to Rouen, France to sort millions of undelivered letters to the American troops. The unit was 824 enlisted women and 31 officers and they got the job done in record time. Ft Leavenworth, KS is honoring these brave ladies with a monuments and I have created a Virtual Cemetery to also honor their service to their country.
