I live in Kanawha County, West Virginia and have my whole life. I started doing genealogy with my mom in 2007 after my grandmother passed away. We both wish that we had started a lot sooner because there are a lot of questions that we have.
Wheatcraft, Worley, Bush/Busch, Pierson/Pearson, Bias, Woods, Debolt/Dewalt are a few of the surnames in my family.

In 2011 I grew interest in researching the Putney Cemetery located up Campbells Creek in what used to be Putney, WV. This was an old coal mining community that was around from about 1900-1950. I visited it in March and photographed what I thought to be all of the headstones but when looking up death records there are a lot more graves than I found.
