|Terry B. Hardy||RE: Carlisle & Allen Township Cemeterys|
Hi Cindy. Kelly George Penman Jr. of Carlisle can probably answer your question on the dividing line between Allen Township Cem. and Carlisle City Cem.
The founder of Carlisle, Jerimiah "Jerry" Church is buried in the Township Cem., as is his daughter and her husband Dr. Hull. Jerimiah's history started out East. One of my super-great-grandfathers was a Church in the 1600s. I have not researched the possibility of relationship to me. My 9th Great-Grandfather, Richard Warren, came on the Mayflower in 1620. His daughter married a
Richard Church. I am uncertain as to has the cemetery records now. Kelly works on headstones in various cemeteries, cleaning and repairing them. Kelly is on Facebook. . . Good luck and GOD bless you and yours.

I can't make out the very top, but the rest of it reads:
The Memory of
Who departed this life
January 12th 1863
In the 66th year
of his age
Weep not dear children for the dead
That sleep beneath this mound
His spirit now from earth has fled
To realms where joys abound.

Whenever I do requests, I always look around the area for the same last name and add photos or memorials if needed, but there weren't any others around him. This is the biggest cemetery in this area, so if you're interested, you might want to call the cemetery office at 864-223-9229 and ask if there are any other Haltermans buried there. If there are, ask them for the locations, and let me know, and I'll take photos next time I'm there. Arthur Worthington's location was Section 8B, 48-B, #2, so it will be something like that.

Thank you for letting me know about this. When your messaged me my wifi was down and I didn't get to the library to take care of this, but I will. I'm slow, but sure. Thank you again.

What would you like to know about her ?
Are you related ? Do you want me to transfer her memorial to you ? I've added her obit. that was published in the Albq. Journal. Nothing new from what I posted.
