I used to spend weekends visiting cemeteries and photographing the art and symbolism in them. I have put together PowerPoint programs on Tombstone Symbolism and other related topics that I do for historical & genealogical societies and other interested groups. I run Tombstone Tales on Facebook, featuring photos from our cemetery trips.

I have been researching family history for almost twenty years and Cloud County Kansas history for over ten years now. I enjoy both! I researched the history of Blue Hill Kansas (Mitchell county ghost town) and wrote two books on it. I am a taphophile who enjoys spending time in quiet, country cemeteries.

I am now the Head Researcher at the National Orphan Train Complex, trying to find information for descendants of the children who were sent West on Orphan Trains. It is a volunteer position that I am doing from home, but it is so rewarding!

I'm the mom of two wonderful sons - Kody (age 30) and Kasey (age 15). I have a great husband who goes along on my cemetery excursions and helps out when he can.

I love photography and scrap booking as well.
