Bio

I've been researching my family since I was a teenager. Of course, my family lines have been little researched so it makes the work a little more challenging. But I like a good challenge. I volunteer to take pictures for Find A Grave in Fredericksburg City, Spotsylvania Co., King George Co., Caroline County, Stafford Co. and where else I go. My family surnames are: Reed (Reid, Read), Sells, Ashton, Smith, Greene, Roush, Bottorff, Sissell (Cecil), Sayres, Luker, DeHaven, Reading, etc. I research all the family lines. My family tree begins in Loudoun Co. Virginia. From there they moved to Ohio (Guernsey Co., Washington Co., Muskingum Co., Noble Co.). At this point 2 brothers leave Ohio when Oklahoma opens up to settlers (El Reno, OK). One of the brothers leaves Oklahoma and moves to Springfield, MO (Green Co.) and then finally staying in Howell Co., MO until death. According to one of the old history books, the Smith line was from Chester Co., PA. I found members of one line in Allegheny Co., PA and from there they went to Washington Co., OH. One Smith line moved to Grant Co., WVa and they died there. I have found documents (birth, death, marriage, & passenger lists) for the John Reading family. That line was originally from Wales. Still working on the rest especially the Ashton line.
