I have been researching family history earnestly since 2010.|
As my friend and mentor Marianne (#47147246) likes to say, "GENEALOGY WITHOUT DOCUMENTATION IS MYTHOLOGY." Therefore, I will only add documented information to my personal tree and family memorials. However, I do accept information from other contributors without demanding citations. I will make a notation on the memorial that such information was submitted by another contributor.
Like many family researchers, when I am wandering around cemeteries I am fascinated by the headstones and wonder about the person behind them. So, sometimes I will photograph stones in the interest of preserving history. If you are related, and I am not, I am happy to transfer your family to you. Please use the edit function on the memorial to request a transfer.
PHOTOS: I take the photos to share history of your family and mine. Please use my photos, for non-commercial purposes, but I DO REQUIRE that you please give me the credit as photographer (Find A Grave contributor dfb #47415030). If you have also spent hours driving, photographing, recording, editing, and uploading you will understand why the photos of people I never knew still feel like 'family.'
Please DO NOT post anything to my memorials that is not in the public domain or that contains any information about living persons. You can send an obit to me and I will put a synopsis on the memorial.
And PLEASE!!!! do not post a death certificate to any memorial that is not a direct close relative. It is unnecessary and intrusive to the deceased and their kin. If you would like to send a note that you have the dc available I am happy to add that to the memorial.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed in some way to my family quest journey.
Play nicely, treat each other gently, and when in doubt opt for respect. We are all related eventually in our histories.

|Sandy Waters||RE: Greer Headstones/corrections|
Thanks for your offer. I am ok with just keeping them for now.
Thanks for your suggestions.
|Bronson Gardner||John and Carrie Henry|
Thank you for your update suggestion and willings to take photos! I obtained the death certificate and is shows they were buried in Fort Stubben Burial Estate. I've made the changes to the online memorial.
|Sandy Waters||Greer Headstones/corrections|
Thank you for your suggestions on the Greer headstones. Would you be interested in taking the memorials over? I was researching my Greer line years ago and came across these headstones. I posted them to Find a Grave in hopes I would be able to place them in my tree and to help others who were searching. I have yet to find any connection to my tree. I have not revisited the online memorial in several years and it seems like it now has a life of it's own. I do not have any further information. I will post your suggestions for corrections. Thank you.
|DeeღKeith||Mrs Sarah PAGE Means Dury 50564140|
You asked me about the memorial for "Mrs Sarah PAGE Means (1st) Dury (2nd) Find A Grave Memorial# 50564140" The best that I can tell, this memorial seems to be a mixture of two different "Sarah Page's" who are already on Find a Grave in Union Cemetery. The memorial mentions who her parents are and that her first husband was James Means, Jr. Sarah (Page) Means who married James Means "Jr." is found here: 148305306. The memorial also mentions the name Dury with the same death date as Sarah Page (Means) Dury 147169497. The Mrs Sarah PAGE Means Dury Memorial #50564140 seems to be in error (to the best of my understanding).

I removed the photo and also removed similar pictures from the others in that section where your pictures show the dates in a better light. Thank you! And, thank you for adding a more specific grave location.

|Gary Monigold||Harry W. Spunier / Spurrier memorial|
Thank you so much for letting me know about the spelling error on the Spunier memorial. I will update the Spurrier memorial and get mine deleted. Have a great day!
|Rodger Wolf||RE: Melching family, Union cemetery, Steubenville|
Christianna E Melching, daughter of William George Melching married my 1st cousin 3x removed Robert Clyde Henderson. I go off on some tangents to fill out my tree on Ancestry.com but the Melchings were fairly close. Therefore, I had planned to find many headstones of that family, take photos and GPS readings. I do have lot of info. Who in particular are you interested in? I may or may not have some info. My direct e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
