Bio and Links
Bio Photo 'I've got to get this down on paper.' Those people deserve a legacy that's more than just a slab of marble in a graveyard.

~ Bill King

I have been adding any information that I can find regarding parents and children of the person on the memorial, as I think it helps to confirm who the person was. But I'm not going to be right every time.If you find something wrong go ahead and tell me. All the information provided on the memorial is sourced off

I've also discovered i love looking at old newspapers, sometimes I find obits and I'll send them to the persons memorial via Suggest Correct.

Please go ahead and use my photos in your family history, though I do like the credit.

Catherine Allen McEvoy
Could you please add this to Catherine's biography? My listing is now deleted due to incorrect surname. Thank you!

Kimberly Caswell kindly photographed the Allen family marker, as well as, the individual stones, stating the individual markers are difficult to read through the photo but it still shows the individual marker.

"Ella May's stone, when you trace the letters with your finger actually spells "Ettie May"
Henry is W. H. Allen.
Catherine's marker reads "Katie".
Joseph's marker is the largest marker in the plot.
In addition, KIMBERLY added ALL of this and even made a plot position map.

For each of the separate grave markers, there is nothing written on the “face” of the marker.
Only a single first name is written along the top of each marker.
The outer border consists of a concrete border of beams and posts. The posts are at each corner and the center of each side. You will see on the left side border there are two central posts which mark the entrance to the Allen family plot.
The posts stand approximately 18”-20” tall by approx. 6” thick and the beams, which lays along the border are 8”-10” thick.

There are eight faces to the central monument.
The front face begins #1, following around to the right as #2, #3, etc.
At the base of the front face in large letters it says “ALLEN”
Beginning with the names around the monument, then a numbered list to show which marker belongs to who.

1) Matie J. Dau. Of W.H. & T.M. ALLEN. DIED Apl. 12, 1870 AGED 19 Ys. 3 Ms. 14 Ds.

4) Catherine ALLEN McEvoy Oct. 11, 1839 April 12, 1914
5) Ella May Dau. Of W.H. & Catherine Died Mar. 7, 1871 6 Ms. 9 Ds.
6) Joseph G. McENVOY Sept. 21, 1840 Dec. 9, 1923
7) This monument face is blank – however I believe it is there for the infants that were not listed by name in the plot.
8) Ellen J. Dau. Of W.H. & T.M. Allen Died Jan. 18, 1854 Aged 5 Ms. 5 Ds.

Elijah C. Allen
My listing for Rlizah C. Allen 152113331 is now a duplicate to your Elijah C. Allen, due to a stone photo, showing correct name as Elijah. Before correcting, I thought you might want to copy my page information to your prior listing. Please let me know if you do or do not need, so I may delete mine.

Ella Tattershall Carpenter
Oakwood Cemetery Beloit, Rock, Wisconsin.

I Blew this photo up believing it to be the Ella Tattershall daughter of George Tattershall and Elizabeth Wyatt it appears the find a grave is wrong in listing her 1819-1843. I believe it says Ella Tattershall Wife of Edwin E. Carpenter Born in Angelica, Alleganey County, New York November 2, 1849 and died February 2, 1873 in Beloit, Rock, Wisconsin Aged 23 years and 3 mon. Then looks like it says Clara daughter of George Tattershall. Can you look at this stone again and can you make out the clara part at the bottom. It this ella also called Clara???? Thank you so much for your help and hart work.
