Bio

I have always been somewhat of a genealogy enthusiast having grown up listening and taking an interest in my relatives stories from the past! When "The Computer" came around in the mid 1980's then my interest skyrocketed. I have literally 20,000 names on an old DOS program that all I can do is keep an old backup copy stored of it! I have imported as much info as I can into my newer Windows version (Family Tree Maker), but still I only have 1/2 the info I once researched into the newer formats.
Since life has taken control of my everyday activities, naturally my genealogy efforts have reduced dramatically. Now I try to update and add records as I see an obituary or other news worthy item in the paper, or as I am editing some info and then just stay at it while I have that remote chance! My mom has taken "the genealogy fever" over the past several years so it is good to have someone pick up where I left off!
