Bio and Links
Bio Photo Got into genealogy in 2006 after all my grandparents were gone and my mother and I were looking for information about their parents and grandparents because they didn't talk about them much. Over these last few years I have found a lot of information and who my generations of grandparents are and where they came from, still looking and NOT giving up anytime soon. I am going to always take a second look at that gravestone, and that obituary...

Logan County Home Cemetery
Can you help me find GPS coordinates for this cemetery? I see you've posted a couple nice cemetery photos. If you can find the spot on Google Maps, just right-click on the spot and select, "What's Here?" That will give you the coordinates. Thanks!

RE: Ellen and Samuel Rodgers
You're the first person I've run across from the Rodgers line, and my father's family didn't seem to keep any pictures, so I have none. I've just started researching this line so I only have a little info but I'm looking for more. I'll let you know what I find.

They are your great great great grandparents? You're more direct than I am. They are my great great grand aunt and uncle. I'm directly descended from Samuel's brother Ruben. I'll transfer them back if you want since you're a more direct relation.

Correction: Robert Henry's son Arthur David was about 4 yrs old when he died. He was born 7April 1896 and I think he died in Jan 1900

RE: Goodpastures at Old Union Cemetery
I'm sorry I don't have pics or info. on Malinda. I changed the name on her memorial to agree with her tombstone. I left Malinda because it might be helpful to other researchers. I am so excited to have the pictures you posted. They are beautiful. I'd love to visit the cemetery. I live in central KY so I'm too far away. My ancestor Francis O seems to be the only one who stayed in KY. Most of the KY Goodpastures are from Bath Co. across the state. It is a different line I don't know when Francis died. I hope one day to find out. There was a devastating fire at the Hart Co. courthouse in 1923 and the records were burned. I think it's womderful that the Logan Co IL Goodpastures are buried together in a family plot. I think the Arthur D must be Francis' and Mindilia/Malinda's brother and a som of Abraham and Mary. They are buried close and the tombstones are the same style. That seems like good evidence to me. Francis' son Robert Henry is my gr grandfather. He named a son Arthur David. That son died at about hrs old. He may have died in Il. Robert lived there for a while. He was a circuit riding ministers of the Methodist church. He and my gr grandmother divorced. She returned to KY. He eventually settled in CA and lived to the age of 94. I think it's an interesting family.
Thanks for the grave photos!
