1984: Doctor of Jurisprudence with honors

I have been homeless, an airman, a laborer, a carpenter, a concrete finishing machine operator, a certified welder, a foreman in Bridge Construction, a millwright, a Lawyer, and a Landlord.

I have taught Old Testament in children's Sunday School and took part in several Cursillo 5 day programs both in and outside of Maximum Prisons.

I made my Cursillos Weekend in 1972. A Lutheran sponsored week end. It totally changed my life.

Cursillos in Christianity (in Spanish: Cursillos de Cristiandad, short course of Christianity) is an apostolic movement of the Roman Catholic Church. It was founded in Majorca, Spain by a group of laymen in 1944, while they were refining a technique to train pilgrimage Christian leaders.

Cursillo is the original three-day movement, and has since been licensed for use by several mainline Christian denominations, some of which have retained the trademarked "Cursillo" name, while others have modified its talks/methods and given it a different name.

The Cursillo focuses on showing Christian lay people how to become effective Christian leaders over the course of a three-day weekend. The weekend includes fifteen talks, some given by priests and some by lay people. These talks are called "rollos". The major emphasis of the weekend is to ask participants to take what they have learned back into the world, on what is known as the "fourth day." The method stresses personal spiritual development, as accelerated by weekly group reunion (after the weekend).

I passed on and came back after seeing the other side three times after being hospitalized on my 64th birthday. I was not expected to live the night. Congestive heart failure.

I own 15 properties (paid for) and have been retired for 10 years. I now finance my Stepdaughter and her husband in flipping houses in Florida and now in New Orleans.

I have written my personal history in poetry. A sample.

Success:
I am most successful in failure
Then lie to feel like continued being.
Denying any other possible future.
And then cower in my heart wishing

God:
Let one who doubts God
Look into the eye and see
My only company, dogs
Who makes their God me.

Silence:
I must be silent to hear God's no.
Denying both closed door and open window
I pray to accept, but want to belief it is not so.
Again and Again comes a need to be humble.

Reflections:
From the Depth of self doubt in long free flow expression
Springs forth not quite so much truth as true confession.
Death' s dark angel,a comforting friend I have not yet met.
Will bring a welcome end to my memory and to my regret.

My high school sweetheart's mother was married to H.B. Wallace son of Vice President H.A. Wallace.

I was previously married for 22 years to a woman I met in the USAF. We had 2 children.

I married to the daughter of a Mennonite Bishop for 5 months who was unfaithful.

I then married a mail order Russian Bride 22 years ago, 3 days after I first saw her. She had an 8 year old daughter, who I raised. I descend from the founder of the Mennonite Church

Several people, in the past 20 plus years, helped me in researching my family, and some of then have now passed on after giving me their work. Still many others have shared data through Find A. Grave which I intend to add to and share.

I want to pass on our combined work, before I die, as it was passed on to me, so as to others. Due to my poor health and age (74) my time is short.
