Family research has been a lifelong passion for me, especially as I remember visiting many family cemeteries with grandparents and hearing those wonderful stories of the people who came before me. Researching family lines to help make family connections is something I find both rewarding and challenging. Hopefully, I am able to help others with priceless information as well. |
My intentions are to honor these families and those they loved. I do additional research in hopes of ensuring all I post here is correct, but, please let me know should I need to make corrections or connections for you.
Photos I post can be used to honor your loved ones.
Many thanks to the tireless number of people who make enormous contributions to this wonderful site.
When adding an obituary, my intention is to not add names of those family members who are still living. I often research several sites to confirm that the connections and information I am adding is absolutely correct. The source that I include can be researched by anyone who would like to know this information. I do try to add information that can be helpful and benefit those who only use this free site.

I finally went to the Freeport City Cemetery and found Mary and James markers. I've posted photos for both, but neither one had the "e" in their name. I know that doesn't make it absolutely correct because the "e" is silent and could have easily been left off? I also posted your obit for Mary and will leave it as is with her name spelled Clarke. Thank you for your help and your work on Find A Grave. Have a great day!

Thanks for seeking the gravestone photo. I am grateful.

You are welcome. I had printed the list of "unphotographed" graves in Cranes Mill Cemetery and then made a more or less systematic search through the cemetery to find those graves and photograph them. There are still over 40 graves that I did not find, either due to my own error or to the fact that they have no headstone nor marker. I will be glad to go back to photograph any of the missing graves, but I would need some clue as to what part of the cemetery they are in, wheat kind of headstone/marker is there, etc.---anything so I am not once more doing a "blind" search.
Incidentally, if you later get a better shot of the headstone in question and want to replace mine, feel free to do so yourself(if you can) or contact me to remove mine.
