RE: Nancy Vaughan
to say nothing of the discrepancies in ages on census records. It is a miracle that we can be sure about anyone!! LOL

Nancy Vaughan
I think I figured it out! It does appear that Nancy did marry 2 times as did her second husband J Baker. Both spouses died. That accounts for the discrepancy in the ages of the children. In 1850 some of his, some of hers and some of their own children were in the same household.

RE: Hiram Blanton Vaughan
I am very confused about Nancy R.Vaughan. BTW, I have seen her name Ridley and Rylee? ? ? There is another Vaughan named Sarah Ridley Vaughan who is buried in Laguardo Cemetery. She was the wife of Melkijah Spraggins Vaughan, also buried there. She was a Vaughan by birth,so I am assuming they were cousins. The fact that her name was Ridley makes me wonder if Ridley is an old name in the Vaughan family and that Nancy's name actually IS Ridley rather than Rylee. BUT that is the least of the confusion with Nancy. The confusion is with the marriage records found for Nancy Vaughn/Vaughan! There are 2 spouses listed for Nancy Vaughans. One is Scott and one is Baker. Scott is in Hardeman Co TN and I pretty much disregarded that one due to the location not knowing if any of our Vaughans ever lived in Hardeman Co. Then I found 2 males living with her and J Baker in 1850 with the last name Scott. So if you or anyone else reading this message has any info on this situation Let me know. Thanks Cuz

Linda, absolutely NO problemo! I, like you , want to have things straight and I am only letting you know not scolding! We,who love these things, have too many names in front of us at all times. LOL! It does not help that this Vaughan family used the same names over and over in many generations and many different strains of the family. It makes me crazy!
I do not have any numbers for Asa and/or Katherine sorry.Keep up your good work!

Hi Linda, I have that Littleberry and Sarah were the parents of HENRY Blanton Vaughan who was my 2 gt grandfather and died in Wilson Co. TN. I see here that you have Hiram Blanton who died in TX. was their son. Do you have any further info on that situation.
Thanks, Trish

RE: Nelson
How do you know this? Is George Washington Nelson related in any way other than being Manny's biological father? And so was Sarah his mom?

Thomas Morrow
I am looking for a pic of his brother, Thomas Morrow. He was Superintendent of Morgan County Schools.

I am trying to have all of our superintendent photos posted at our Central Office.

Any help you can provide will be appreciated!
