I am the daughter of Vernon and Lillian Wooten.
My father was from Lucien and my mother was from McCall Creek, MS. My father was accidentally killed while at work in 1949 in New Orleans, La.
He and my Mother were so loved there by the people that they named a church after him. It was named Wooten Memorial Baptist Church. My beautiful mother and father had been helping start the church from just a mission. I am the author of "From My Heart to Yours." I miss my Mama, my father and my step-father, Curtis Linder very much. Mama was my sunshine.
