I am interested in the families descending from Elder Jacob Cropsey, John Murray, Aspinwall P. Straight, Asahel Chillson, Isaac Gilbert, Silas Bowen, Benjamin Bridge, and Consider Hyland. I have lots of family info on these lines. I'm also interested in the family of John and Bridget McQuaid of Wisconsin and Alois Schaumberg of Mineral Point WI.

I have 163 unidentified photos of people from these families on a Pinterest board at If you have photos of these families, would you look at the board and see if you can identify any of them. One of my genealogical goals is to get names on all the old photos.

Yes we have. Cute picture of Mary Alice as an infant. Who is Helen Fobes?

Uh oh. I believe that is what it said on the photo, but she must be Helen Cleverdon, wife of William Samuel Cleverdon, Mary Alice's uncle, brother of her father. Both families were in Cripple Creek, CO at the same time. Thanks.

RE: Edward Spalding
Yes, Widow Dorothy Hayward Barker of Concord married in Concord, Ma Oct, 23, 1705 to Edward Spalding of Plainfield. This comes from the director of the Killingly Historical society in Danielson, CT, Marilyn Labbe.

RE: Burghardt
I'm online making arrangements for Mom in Michigan. So I saw the Find-a-Grave post. I used to visit graveyards and document graves at the behest of Find-a-Grave requestors so am subscribed to their website. Probably why they sent me your inquiry.

RE: Burghardt
It's certainly possible that all these Burghardts were related back a few generations. I just recently found German records for the family and have not gone "active" on Ancestry to search them further. The name seems to have been Burchard in Germany; changed supposedly for better pronunciation in the US. There was a rumor to that effect in my family but I never knew my Burghardt grandparents and in any event, not soon enough to have quizzed them about this.

Sorry - didn't see this earlier. No relation that I know of.

RE: Parks, Henderson, and Lyttel
I had most of the information, but not marriage dates. Thanks much for the findagrave memorial #'s and information as well. Glad you were able to tie them together. I wrote a Lytle book which included Henderson and Parks information.

Photo Identification

In Memorial 100461692 for Theodore M Hopper, you added a picture of 2 boys.

I'm assuming that boy on the left is Theodore, but can't identify the one on the right.

Can you identify the boy on the right?

Thanks, Dan Nelson
