My dad began working on his family tree in the late 1970's after he retired. He did not know much about his father's family as he died when my dad was only nine months old. The first efforts were undertaken by simply writing to those he knew. After I learned how to use the computer and got a genealogy program I began helping him compile all of the information he had collected. At this time I have over 11,200 names in my tree. I wish Daddy could have seen all of the pictures of the headstones I have gotten from Find A Grave. He died in 2006 at age 98. I work in the transportation industry and have for 50 years. I am the mother of three, one son and two daughters and grandmother of two boys. I have found out that genealogy is addictive!!!!
