My wife and I are retired firefighters, I with over 32 years as an industrial firefighter and municipal volunteer, and Debbie with just over 16 as a municipal volunteer and Medic. Debbie was the "heady" master-mind and main discipline of the team when it comes to research, and has expanded our personal knowledge base considerably. I on the other hand, have found my forte to be in the scanning and digitizing of old photos and documents, uploading our work to the internet, uploading photos and managing memorials on F-A-G. Sadly, Debbie left our team and went home to be with Our Father on April 9, 2018. (Memorial # 188764834)

I do monitor requests in my local area and I try to check the locations where I may be traveling to, and I try to fill whatever I can when I'm on the road. One location I will not go to without specific plot info provided from the requester is Forest Park East in Webster, TX. Too many volunteer photographers trying to do good deeds have been treated rudely and "sluffed off" by the park staff (myself included). Sorry.

If I request the transfer of management of a particular memorial, please rest assured that all credit for your work will be retained on the memorial. This also extends to those who may have contributed pictures or other documentation as well. I have no issues with transferring management of a memorial to any family member, in or outside of the F-A-G "4 generation" stipulation. The way I see it, a family member should be able to provide a much more meaningful memorial than just a couple of dates and a cemetery name from a stranger.
