My mother and I have been doing genealogy research since 1986. After my mothers passing, I continued with our family genealogy along with my wife and two children. My grandmother (My mothers mom) also was interested in the history and helped me along the way.
As of Monday, February 28, 2011, I just signed up with "FindAGrave" along with another member in the area who helped me get setup and going.
For my genealogy I use Ancestry, Rootsweb, Legacy, Minnesota Historical Society, Dalby Data, Histopolis, FindAGrave, fsmilysearch.org and Family Tree Maker 2010, 2012 and soon to be upgrading to 2014. I have several family lines I am working on, so I have several 3-ring binders on the shelf. I currently have a HUGE family tree on ancestry ranging around 14,000 (as of 2013 I am around 29,000) members and growing. If you are interested in seeing it please contact me.
I am currently living in southwestern Minnesota. Majority of my relatives are from Brown, Redwood, Cottonwood, and Rice counties along with the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, New York, California, Washington and so on. My families ancestors are from Denmark, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Holland in which I hope it will lead my future travels to those countries.
