Bio

Genealogy has been a hobby in my retirement years that has involved many hours spent in libraries, courthouses, cemeteries and on-line web sites. What fun the time spent has been even though I've never graduated from being a novice.

My goal was to provide family members a historical record of our lineages and I think I succeeded in doing that to the best of my ability. Then I discovered findagrave.com and that created a whole new interest. There seems to be divided opinions as to how FAG should be used but I for one believe it is a great genealogical resource as well as a great way of remembering those that have gone before us.

Another of my pastimes relative to genealogy and now the FAG interest has been grave dowsing. I don't pretend to know all there is to know about it but it is fun to do. It can be very revealing at times and the more I do the more I realize how many humans have passed on with their resting places unknown and/or unmarked. Kudos to Find A Grave.
