Hi to all fellow family researchers … I fell into this hobby because of my Aunt who was obsessed with it; when she passed away she felt I should take over for her so I inherited all of her hard work. Her hard work was done without computer help mostly. She was one of those back in the 70's that walked the cemeteries, sat in the libraries looking through miles of microfiche and went to every relative at the time and interviewed them. I admire her work and treasure it so much. At this time I only enter my own family as there are plenty to keep me busy. My goal is to get as much accurate (only) information on each of the memorials I have entered and/or managed, THEN once I retire I will do what the rest of you wonderful folks do, I will walk the cemeteries and try and get more entered into this wonderful system. I will be the type of person that if I enter someone's ancestor that has passed and that ancestor does not belong to me, I will gladly transfer the memorial to you after we honor the policy of findagrave, of course. I have had no issues yet that I couldn't handle with transferring management of a memorial and I can't imagine why anyone that is entering memorials and isn't a relative would not want to transfer the management to a relative of the deceased. I never want anyone to go through that as I always feel we, as a group of researchers are a family. Anyone that would deny a transfer, I think, would have some other reason to do so. Because I had never had any issues I want to always make it my goal to make it an easy transfer with my blessing as I would want that for everyone else too.
