Memorial 84907787
Hi Betty,'
Question: When you created the grave of Howard Wayne Martin #84907787, did you do it from records, or did you create it from actually seeing it in the cemetery?
Thanks so much, F.Ward

I see that you are "visiting" with Mr. Floyd about James Blair. We are decendents of James and are in the process of getting him a veterans marker. We have all documentation except a document in an historical book or newspaper clipping that states he is really there. Can you PLEASE help me find such a thing. If we are sucessful we would very much love to involve the DAR. We are in personal contact with the land owner and she is the sweetest lady. She is so excited and willing to help in any way she can. Please email to me or reply to this post and lets coordinate our efforts for this hero....We are almost there!! I even have a direct contact in Washington helping me with the Veterans marker!! I am so excited I can hardly sit still!!

I neglected to mention that I got a newspaper clipping from a cousin showing his burial. I cannot find it in my present 'fog'.

I think it is a grand idea.
The "Old Mt Moriah" cemetery is not easy to find. I used a GPS and wandered a little.
It is north of the highway about a mile as I remember and a few 100 yards off the second highway (if that much. May be less than a 100 yards) out in the woods.
I recently had a pneumothorax (collapsed lung) and I am sure it affected my brain as well as my breathing so I may not make sense at times.
It is small and unmarked. (The cemetery, not my brain!) I listed all the stones I could read.
There are two books on Pickens County which show him to be buried there. (It was also apparently known at some time as "Old Kincaid".)

One book is the Heritage of Pickens Co AL and another
Pickens Co AL History and Famalies ( I think)

Best,
Bill Floyd

RE: Francis Marion
Well I bet you my Mom knows her. My Mom's name is Bea Allen. I'll ask my Mom tonight.

RE: Francis Marion
Betty, Whoever actually entered Beulah to the website way back when entered it as Hillsboro Co but it is really Polk Co. Let me know when you are coming, if it's on a weekend I could meet you at the church on Sunday or during the week. I'm not usually around on Saturday at all. I don't live to far from the church. Who is your cousin? I just might know them or my Mom would. I have made 6 markers for those who are buried there that are fading out or are unreadable. If you don't mind I can have one made for Frank. It won't be long all the letters are disappearing. Looking forward to meeting you!

RE: Francis Marion
I figured it out Betty. You will need to delete your entry of Frank. Look up Martha Weeks then click on Beulah Baptist Church and up in the right top corner it will say Add name and reenter him there. OR you could just do a cemetery look up under Beulah in Polk Co Lithia Fl. You have Frank in a separate Beulah in Mulberry and in Polk Co. All entries are under Beulah Baptist Church in Lithia Polk Co Fl. Someone made a mistake about the Co. Let me know if I can help you. Also when you re-enter I will repost photos for you.

Betty, I just looked again and Frank isn't there! Reenter him and let me know when you have it done. Sorry, I don't know what in the world happened but it's gone. You don't owe me a thing! I'm there every week and go to the cemetery after church. It was my pleasure.

RE: Frank Weeks
What happened to Frank on Beulah Cemetery? Did you remove him? I found him buried beside his Mother and was going to post the photo of the marker. Let me know if you repost him and I will post photos?
Thanks Marsha
