REGARDLESS OF DATE STARTED SHOWN HERE: I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR MORE THAN 10 YEARS IN IOWA FOR FINDAGRAVE, A GLITCH CHANGED THE DATE. |
PLEASE DON'T ASSUME MINE ARE NEWER!
**My Family Tree is a little larger than most for a lot of reasons, the main one dawned on me
Family and friends were always welcomed to Thanksgiving and Christmas when my Mothers' Mother was around. We never turned anyone away, if you had a friend with nowhere to go, they became family. I research my family and sometimes find it hard to stop. I never believed in just 1st generations, because I was raised by loving 2nd and 3rd Aunts and Uncles, whose children were MY Cousins. I truly believe we are one big family and if you look deep enough into your family tree you will find you connections to your neighbor down the road, across the country and around the world.
I started with Findagrave photographing in 2007,
I started photographing the Braddyville Cemetery in Page County Iowa.
Sadly I can't get out to the cemeteries anymore to photograph anymore. I am so grateful to the other volunteers out there that so diligently photograph and save our past for everyone out there. I try now to connect the dots between the generations, sometimes mine and sometimes yours.
I try to double and triple check my facts, if I made a mistake please send me a correction under edit and I will gladly fix it, or if you would like a memorial transferred also please use the edit to ask for the transfer.
My philosophy is I put these here for historical value, and for you the descendants of these families. You may or may not have more information of them than I do, as long as you go through the edit, suggest a correction and ask me with a explanation of how you are related I will likely consider the transfer. EXCEPTION IS MY DIRECT LINE OR FAMILY MEMBERS.
WHEN I BECOME A FALLEN GRAVER, I ASK THAT SHARON LEWIS BECOMES THE MANAGER OF ALL MY MEMORIALS THAT SHE DECIDES TO MANAGE. THOSE SHE DOES NOT DESIRE TO KEEP CAN BE HANDED OVER TO THOSE THAT ARE ON MY FRIENDS LIST OR RETURN TO FINDAGRAVE MANAGEMENT.
I love doing the literal digging for FINDAGRAVE.
I HOPE WHAT I FOUND SPARKED SOMETHING IN US ALL TO CONTINUE TO PRESERVE THE PAST, IT'S A LITTLE STEP WE ALL CAN DO.
NOW WITH A NEW FOUND COUSIN, WE BOTH HUNT DOWN OUR ANCESTORS. WE EACH BRING SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO THE EQUATION; NEW EYES ON THINGS THE OTHER MIGHT MISS. WE BOTH LOVE FINDAGRAVE, CONNECTING LOST FAMILY MEMBERS IN FINDAGRAVE AND MEMORIAL MANAGEMENT IS MY PASSION AND FINDING THE PEOPLE THAT NO ONE ELSE CAN FIND.
THANK YOU, FINDAGRAVE AND ALL THE VOLUNTEERS!
WE WOULD ALL BE LOST WITHOUT YOU!

Pearl's obit says she had 2 daughters and four sons. I can only account for three sons, but think I have found the fourth one. More to follow, I hope,,,,
|David A||67431169 Mary Jane Stone Henderson|
Please check dates of birth and death vs picture of monument.
findagrave entry 67431169 shows:
born: "Jan 19, 1896" [should be June 6, 1836]
died: "Jun 6, 1936" [should be Jan 19, 1896]
Inscription on monument reads:
"Mary Jane Stone / Wife of / Stewart Henderson / June 6, 1836 / Jan 19, 1896 / Gone but not forgotten."
I have been researching children of Edward Henderson and Mary (Brooks, Carnahan) Henderson. Both are probably buried somewhere in Ohio. I believe Stewart Henderson was their son.
Stewart Henderson findagrave entry indicates that he married Mary Jane Hardy Apr 7, 1867.
I have cleared up the Hardy / Stone question.

|Brenda Wolcott||John B. Cavner|
Could you please change the date of John B. Cavner's birth date. You have 1836 and it should be 1875.
Brenda Cavner Wolcott
I would please like a picture of the grave of Jonathan Dunn.
|Peggy Bargen Duey||Find A Grave changes|
A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. If I have sent this to you before, sorry, but I didn't see it on your profile page. thanks!!! ~Peggy
New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/ places/plot #s/links to spouse/s and parents.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.
|freddy mullins||Henry E Mullins|
Thank you Ms. Sandy for keeping that "spark" going . I am interested in the information you have that has Henry E. Mullins (1740-1825)buried in Johnetta cemetery, Rockcastle County. KY. Henry is my 5th great-grand parent also. I am in the process of doing some "stone rubbing" on the older headstones. Thank You for any information you have.

|Susan Duncan||James & Janet Orr|
Hi! James and Janet Orr are my 11th great grandparents on my maternal side. I see they are your 12th. (Side note - my mother grew up near "Mullins," SC.)
|Anthony Laughlin||William Russell Laughlin 1831 - 1902|
I saw a post about Maple Hill Cemetery in College Springs, IA that showed you have information on the cemetery. I only just found out that my 3rd great grandfather, William Russell Laughlin, is buried there. I have been searching for his burial for years now. The post said that you have pictures of many graves and obits from that cemetery. Do you happen to have any information/picture of his grave? Do you happen to know of any other Laughlin's buried there. I only see one other Laughlin - Rosanna Laughlin. Wondering if there are more.
I thought it would be worth a try to ask you.
|Sharon Dobson Beck||Johnson relationship|
If you are related to the Johnson's I am related to you. Andrew Jackson and Dora May Conner Johnson are my grandmother's (Minnie Lee Johnson Dobson) parents. Sharon
I just wanted to thank you for the transfer of

It is wonderful people like you that help us discover the lost twigs on our trees.
