I am a retired/disabled U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel who lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Almost my entire life I was satisfied that nobody in my family could tell me our ancestry. I'm now no longer satisfied with that answer, and I'm trying to build a knowledge base that can be passed to current and future generations. If I can also find some real people to whom we're related -- well, that would be great. Thanks for reading.|

|Jay R. Long||Mr. & Mrs. Maberry|
Dear Glen, I remember both Mr. & Mrs. Maberry from back in the 70's and 80's. He ran a sawmill and did business with my uncles who ran Lee Brother's Mill over in Mechanicsville, MD. My father was the caretaker for De La Brooke Manor, Robert Brooke's other plantation in St. Mary's. The Mayberry's would come over and visit on ocassion and tour the grounds and the old Manor House. I loved hearing them tell about Brooke Place. I had never been there but they always told us to come over and visit sometime. I wish we had of. Where is Mr. Maberry burried and is there an obit for him as well.

|Catherine ||RE: You Should Mention His Adoption|
Cousin Glen , I finally added that paragraph about my dad's adoption to his memorial page, that you recommended, thank you for suggesting it.
|Angela ||Gordon Ogilvie|
In addition to the siblings of Gordon Ogilvie Sr. listed, there are also brothers named
George MacDonald Ogilvie
Samuel Reid Ogilvie Sr.
Both are deceased. My father was the last to die. George was the youngest, a minister who died after a car crash on his way to visit a church member in the hospital.
Samuel Reid Ogilvie Sr. suffered from polio and used braces and crutches to get around.

Hi Glen, we share the same 5x Great Grandparents! I don't know what that makes us, so I'll just say you're a cousin! My line is, Barton had Bennet... Bennet had Francis... Francis had Ida... Ida married Milton Morgan and had Lester... Lester had Lester Jr, Lester Jr had my Mom and then me. Whew. How are you related to Barton?

I am about to post a photo of Mary Clark's gravestone, as per your request. I wanted to let you know that there are several stones for Clarks in the same lot, and I will be posting photos for those as well, if there are not already photos of those on the website. The names are: Allen W.; Mabel A.; Dora E.; George L.; Fred W.; and Florence M. Thanks.
|Becky||Grace Kilby photo request|
I had noticed that there is a Paul Kilby Sr interred there and there is a photo of the gravestone that list his wife to be Grace b. 1913. This is the Find A Grave Memorial# 32187432 for Paul. I hope this helps.
