Jan and I are working on a new project to honor our relatives that served in the military during World War II and their spouses that supported them during this time. This is a challenging project as records are very scarce. Assistance from folks around the county will likely be the key to success of this project. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. More information to follow soon.

A special thanks to those who have added and managed memorials and photos of family for Jan and I. Without your efforts we would never have found many of them. Any transfers are greatly appreciated if only to make it easier to form family links and add important information.

We hope to gather as much information as possible about our families and share it with surviving family members and others. We are researching the following families:

Finch, Coppedge, Bergmen, Laird, Heatly, Radford, Blount, Bawcom (Bacum, Baucom, etc), Porter, Robertson and Rogers, Henson, Mardis, Rodden, Davis, Jolley, Evans, McAfee, Ewing, DeSpain, Wallace, Hudspeth and many others.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need help with family research. Most of the memorials we manage are of our direct family lines and we would not normally transfer them, but will gladly do so if the family member is very important to someone else or is not a close relative of ours.

We salute the many people who have taken the time and effort with the remarkable number of memorials. Although we are not ready for that level of work, we hope to return the favor in some way.

If you have a photo request for me please e-mail the specific location in the cemetery of the memorial and how to find them in the cemetery. In other words, please do the hard work to prove that the individual is truly buried there and that there is a memorial to take a picture of and how to find them so that I can locate the memorial quickly. From that point, I will do what I can to prepare the memorial, take quality photos and send them to you or post them on the memorial if desired.

Thanks again, Rob and Jan (Davis) Finch.

Note: I give credit to other contributors for photos, stories etc., when and were I can. I have and will continue to make mistakes. If I have errored or missed giving credit or claimed a source incorrectly or made a mistake in some other way, please let me know so that I can make the needed corrections and remedies. If someone copies photos, stories, etc. from another source (i.e. from obituaries, family trees etc.) and claims them as their own as a routine without giving credit and demands that they are given credit for these works, I no longer consider that contributor worthy of any credits or reference as they can not be trusted. I will no longer honor or reference memorials that they have created in this fashion of false claims. I am open to friendly discussion, positive or helpful feedback and hope to gain and maintain the trust of other contributors and patrons. As always, I'm am glad to help when and where I can and thank all that have or might help me in the future.
