Mary Edna Routt Bradbury
Hello, Kathy!

I apologize for the duplicate for Mary Edna Routt Bradbury. Somehow, I thought the message was from Vicki Holton, so I had transferred this Memorial to her. Now, unfortunately, it will be difficult to remove the Memorial. I am so sorry. I will be more careful in the future. Good that you are photographing gravestones in the cemetery.

RE: Coykendall/Merriss Edit Requests
Too funny is just a mild way of putting it. It wasn't supposed to end up all in my lap, but it did. See, I created 3 memorials, Mary Merriss, Mary Coykendall and hubby William Coykendall. I knew where they died, but wasn't sure of the burials. Well "Tammy", found them in a cemetery, and created duplicates of the 3...then found mine, but by that time photos has been posted to her memorials. So we put our heads together....she told me Find A Grave could "merge" the memorials to be only one each and the photos would not be lost. I requested a merge from powers to be, and was waiting for this to happen when all of a sudden Tammy transferred the whole thing to me...then I never heard back from the powers at Find a Grave, and this took quite awhile for all this to transpire. So by the time Find A Grave might have gotten to look at merging them, they were all under my name...so no merge took place. Then I was going to transfer all my stuff onto the memorials made by Tammy because I wanted her to have credit for making them, but my ISP blew up and here we are today....hoping this message will post on your page... :) :)

Email me to get my stuff on Mary Coykendall...I have her kids marriages etc. use rebeltem@gmail.com.

Coykendall/Merriss Edit Requests
Okay, okay, you caught me :) :) !!
Not really, didn't you notice that both the originals and the duplicates are all managed by me?
This has been an ongoing problem and these 2 are just the last of it. I got everything right about the time my ISP exploded and have only occasionally worked on them...I had originally requested that 6 memorials be "merged" by Find A Grave, but apparently they don't do that when all are managed by the same individual. So as access has permitted, I try to get them all adjusted....it will happen if I can get the site to load and allow changes....don't worry, it'll be completed this year!! :) :) :) Don't laff....this is so frustrating....sometimes I can't send anything to Find A Grave, or make corrections etc. of even to get the site to load at all.

#8259959- PHEBE VAIL
HI,
Just learned of the Rodenbaugh/Axford/Vail connections. I've studied the Rodenbaugh family for years. I descend from a man named Peter Rodenbaugh who married a Mary Garrison in MI in 1820s. I know little because he died before 1850. He was born March 28, 1802 and died March 1, 1848, according to my great great grandmother's record {Charlotte (Rodenbaugh) Van Valkenburg) No places given for his birth or death. The one record is in the Van Valkenburg Bible. Would you know more of the origin of this family? Thanks, Nancy G VV

Jackson Sherman
Kathy,
Thank you for the edits on Jackson Sherman. I'm not going to accept the one for his birth date because I can find no birth record for him. (If you have a source other than the ones I'll discuss in a minute, please let me know). The so-called death record for "15 Jan 1858" is not a death record at all; it's a transcription of the gravestone done in Dec 1919 by the town clerk. (The State of Vermont mandated all town clerks to transcribe the cemeteries because so many vital records had been lost or destroyed.) The date of birth on this record does not come from his gravestone. Only the age at death appears on the stone, and so the birth date is a guestimate. More importantly, Jackson Sherman's actual death record gives a different date of death (7 Jan 1858) and an age of 38 years. There's no way of knowing, then, when this man actually died or when he was born. So, I've entered January 1819 on the memorial but even that might be wrong.

Forgot to tell you... ?
Hi,
I have processed several edit requests for you and I wasn't able to go back and write to you, due to ISP troubles. Last Nov. I had to cancel my DSL service and have been back on dial-up....but it's not the same dial-up that I used to get. I can't do any research at all, and most of the time I can't get Find A Grave to load either. Also my Yahoo mail account it totally useless ...can't access it or do anything to it.
Please use this email to contact me....
rebeltem@gmail.com. I can get it to work most often...otherwise, I am on another planet I think! :)

Note: this is the 2nd nite I have tried to get a message to you.
