Currently doing research on my mothers side of the family - Simpson, Kinney, Holcomb, Hodges, Elliott, Dowdle & Daley from western New York State & northern Pennsylvania. Find A Grave was a valuable tool in helping me to become a Daughter of the American Revolution!
The other side of my family is very small & limited in the US. They are the Trax family from Strasbourg, France. My grandfather arrived in this country via Canada in 1908. There are other Trax family (cousins) who came much earlier to Pennsylvania, but we never knew they even existed. My grandmother, Mary Smith, was from Manchester, England, & I have been able to trace some of her family too.
My first husband (father of my children) was a Rutherford from Illinois with roots in Kentucky & my current husband is a Holley from Colorado with roots in NY & Conn.
A LOT OF FAMILIES & A RICH ANCESTRY! I'm currently living in New Mexico, so this web site has been a wonderful resource for me.
