It all started in 1966 as my Grandmother on my Mothers side was researching her family for her book "The McCown Family of the Pee Dee Section of South Carolina". I was taken to countless states, cemeteries, libraries, and county offices. I was six and bored! It all started again in the 70's when my Aunt started researching my Dad's side of my family. I was a teen ager and, once again, bored.

My dear Aunt passed away last year and out of respect and love for her, I started putting her research together. Now, I am the one who is hooked! I love researching family roots. I am now the one who is dragging my children to cemetery's and other places of research. I am sure they are having fun though!
