I started my family genealogy research because of the efforts put forth by my wife in conjunction with her own family studies. I am new to this type of research, but am contnually amazed at what I find, from stories of the Civil War to a journey across the Atlantic in 1882 in the steamer Westphalia. I am involved with the Templin/Friederichs families and the Bishop/Ruth [Root] [Rott] families.
