My husband and I are retired and living 6 months in Mississippi and 6 months in North Carolina. I have fallen in love with the FAG website and have found many a family member, and had a lot of questions answered by their headstones. I have been working on genealogy for about 20 years now and this site is the icing on the cake.|
I love to go out and take pictures of graves in the areas around both areas where I live. I enjoy adding the photo to the memorial to make it complete.
I have added quite a few memorials and if I have any information incorrect please let me know and I will fix it, or if you have information you want to add just let me know.

I see you don't live around here, which makes hunting harder, I'd guess. Let's see, you requested this headstone photo. Do you know if anyone looked?
For Samuel Allen 1675-1739 at Bridge Street Cemetery in Northampton, MA? (It was requested in 2011.)
What was their experience?? Just can't be found?
I'd love to know. I'm going over there soon, and I'll take a look, but it's all a big jumble to my inexperienced eyes!! And there are tons of Allens.
(this one is my direct ancestor, and I'm just getting around to looking into these leafy branches of my tree!)
thanks - Judith Lee Howard Shea

When you added the findagrave #75765233 for Jonnie Pittman Hammond could you please let me know if there was a gravestone with her name. I submitted a request for a photo in July, 2016 and as of now no one has claimed the request. I have left it open just in case someone does. Jonnie was one of my classmates at Venice High School in the Los Angeles area. We graduated in 1963. Thank you for your help,

I just noticed on the note the cemetery gave me, the cremains were returned to F. H. James. Just in case that is useful to you. There is a James Family lot there in Section E & F, Lot 109. Bob

I have found a Jacob Jones that was a Rev. War patriot but it doesn't seem to be a match to our Jacob Jones. Do you have any further documentation??
|Kay Baldwin||RE: RE Jacob Jones|
How are you related to Jacob Jones? Do you know his parents' names? I think he and his wife are my 5th great grandparents thru their daughter Susanna Jones
My 4th great grandmother
Birth 24 May 1774 in Maryland
Death 11 Nov 1849 in Sinclair, Morgan, Illinois, United States
Who married Robert (Col.) Robertson.
My 4th great grandfather.
Birth 18 Aug 1772 in King George, Maryland, N American Colony, England or Frederick, Frederick, Maryland
Death 23 March 1840 in Sinclair, Morgan, Illinois, USA. They had a daughter, Elizabeth Robertson, My 3rd great grandmother,
Birth 15 Oct 1795 in Bourbon, Kentucky, United States
Death 9 Nov 1865 in Cass, Illinois, USA alt. Morgan County. Elizabeth married James Jr. Garner III,
My 3rd great grandfather. Birth 7 Oct 1792 in Rockingham, North Carolina, United States.
Death 11 Sep 1862 in Philadelphia, Cass, Illinois, United States. If all of that is a match, then the rest is all verified and Jacob Jones would be another patriot for me for the Daughters of the American Revolution!!

Do you know if it this Jacob Jones that was in the Revolutionary War.
Hi There Headstone Huggers,
Saw you stopped by Knights Chapel Church cemetery in DeSoto county, Ms. some time ago and added marker photos of some of the postings I had done. Because I am rather clumsey when it comes to doing that, I gave up some time ago.
I do want to THANK you for adding the ones that you did. Thank you, thank you.

Thank you for your additional comments.
I will be placing a Patriotic plaque upon his grave site on August 10, 2013, at 11:00 AM. Captain Thomas S. Cowan is my 4th Great Grandfather. Via his background, I became a member of the SAR due to his involvement in the Revolutionary War and for our freedom . . . therefore the reason for the Patriotic plaque.
Each of you are more than welcome to attend the Grave Marking. I placed a picture of the additional grave marking by using shaving cream to pop the inscription upon his headstone.
