Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and brought up in Wales but now live in Lincoln England. I started genealogy in 2002 and now have my family back to 18c. I stumbled across this site whilst tracing American relatives and found lots of help and information.
Please don't assume I'm a relative because I left a flower or sponsored a memorial and please don't transfer without asking.

Please make yourself aware of the Frequently Asked Questions - Site Rules. These do tend to change often. Note the naming section with instructions for use on memorials. Prefixes & Suffixes in the name fields are not allowed and stop the search engine from working properly. This site covers World Wide cemetery and burial information, some choices offered for Prefixes and Suffixes (Prefixes/Suffixes/Military Information) might not match exactly your countries customs. The last name field should not be left empty as the search engine requires a query by last name. Other characters like *, --, (), {}, ~, ..., ?, "" or numerals, are not allowed in the name fields as they are not recognized by the search engine making the name un-searchable. Maiden names are automatically italicized. The naming rules (not Guidelines) exist for good reasons. LOTS of good reasons. Titles of any kind are not allowed in any name field. Within the new Edit system if you get a request with "Unknown" in RED within a field, then that field would be empty. (It will not put the word Unknown in that field.)

Wonderful! Its brilliant work you do! If you're ever on holiday in Mid-Wales the rest of my ancestors are buried in Llandefalle and Llangorse near Brecon :) Really beautiful and the churches are so old! I'd love to get up there myself! x

Just wanted to say...
Thank you! I just found a relative I'd had real trouble researching. Mystery solved! Thanks! Do you travel to photograph graves or is it local? xx

In looking at the headstone it looks as though there could be some writing on the LOWER stone. If you happen to be back in that cemetery at any time I'd greatly appreciate knowing what is written on that lower stone if it's decipherable.

What I can read on the TOP stone is:
Alice Sarah Peacock. Died Aug 15 . 1930 . Aged 63 if that is correct.

Thanks again

RE: Joseph Hewson headstone
Thanks so much. You can take a photo of the empty plot, if that is all there is. Joseph died in the 1918 'flu epidemic while at the Bracebridge Asylum - he had been in the asylum for many years so his wife had been maintaining the family by herself - all of which means I won't be surprised if you can't find a headstone. Thank you so much for looking.

Joseph Hewson headstone
You sent me a message on August 25, 2015, you said "checking for photo requests and noticed this one, you've placed it in the wrong cemetery, very easily done as there are three in a row, Joseph Hewson is in plot L335 Canwick Road New cemetery
...I should be able to go there within the next month". I corrected his memorial (Find A Grave Memorial# 151519091). I still have a photo request up for him. I was wondering if you were still doing Find a Grave photos in the area - I would still love a photo of anything there may be for him. Thanks a lot.

Joseph Laughton grave in St John the Baptist Churchyard
Just to say thank you so much for taking the time and effort of visiting St John the Baptist Churchyard in East Markham and photographing and uploading the picture of Joseph Laughton's headstone (died 1852).

I only recently started researching my family tree and have since discovered that Joseph was my fourth great grandfather. I don't live locally but hope to visit the grave myself in the future; without the information posted on the website, I may never have found where he was buried.

Once again, many thanks.
