I will be happy to edit memorials and/or add to bios with your information, provided you include supporting documentation or a link to documentation. I simply do not have time to research and verify edit requests sent to me. If you are someone known to be thorough in your research, your edits will likely be accepted. Otherwise please leave the requested link or info in a message.

All too often, people's names, history and lives have incorrect information added because somebody added it without verification. Let's do better for those who have passed on. Thanks.

I've asked nicely before and nice apparently does not work. Therefore:
My photos and personally written bios
are not available for copying, copying & pasting, downloading, re-posting on ANY website including but not limited to ancestry.com, or otherwise reproducing in any manner without my express written permission. I have personally taken the photos I upload and I own all rights to my photos, which I reserve.

If you are directly related to or descended from the person whose memorial stone I have photographed and need a copy for personal use only, send me an email for further discussion.

Sharing research materials and information is a wonderful thing and an important part of genealogy. Taking materials without permission and presenting it as if it is yours, is not ok!

In consideration for those who find it an unpleasant shock to see a death certificate on a burial memorial, please do not add them to memorials under my management. It is nice to allow people to have the option of choosing whether they want to see the detailed document - not have it looming large 'in their face' so to speak. It also takes space away from others who might wish to share photos of the person(s) and/or the actual grave itself.

If you have details from a death certificate that you would like to see with the memorial, please send it to me via the 'suggest any other correction or addition' link under the 'edits' tab so that it may be added to the bio section.

Your kindness is appreciated.

In addition, regarding memorials added/created by me:

Please do not add obits copied & pasted from other websites, funeral homes, or newspapers in the photo section.

Please do not add any photo unless you personally took the photo or have permission to use the photo and have correctly credited your source/permission.

I solemnly promise never to post a person's obituary or create a memorial for a deceased individual on find a grave before the funeral/burial has actually taken place, & before the family or loved ones have a chance to mourn and place a memorial themselves.

I will, at times, make personal exceptions for my family and loved ones. See previous paragraph.
