Bio

In 2021, I was invited to join a team of 2 other women who have made it our mission to photograph and document all who are interred at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery (SVNC). My part of this trio is to add daily burial records, so if I've made a memorial for one of your friends or family members, please request a transfer and I'll happily grant your request!

My profile photo is of me at 2 yrs of age with my "Nana" Katie Olene Summers, in 1956, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where we lived until 1963. I found find a grave's website searching the internet, looking for a map of the Sanger Cemetery to help us locate Nana's gravesite. I was disappointed that it wasn't listed, so we all spread out looking where we "remembered it being" & we did find it. When I got home I decided to figure out why her name wasn't on F.A.G. & when I realized what & how this site was originated I was hooked! I'm involved in genealogy, researching the Summers, Ogden, Mudgett, Clark, Attkisson, and Doyel family trees. Summers & Ogden from Oklahoma, Attkisson from Tennessee, and Mudgett and Clark are from Wisconsin & Minnesota. I haven't done much for my husband's family, but eventually, I will.

With the more recent DNA technology, I've met some of my biological father's family and am happy to say I've met one of my sisters and one of my brothers, I have 2 more brothers and a sister that I have yet to meet and one day I hope to do that. In 2020 I retired after 35 years working for the same dentist. I was his first dental assistant and for the last 14 years as the practice's office manager. I am enjoying time with my husband and recently began volunteering my time inputting daily burial records for the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, on this website.
