Bio

Of primary interest to me are the grave locations and memorials of the descendants of my great grandfather Dennis O’Brien who landed in New York from Raheendonore, Graiguenamanagh, County Kilkenny in Ireland on 27 April 1851. He settled in the Williamsburg, Massachusetts area and died in 1887. Although he and my great grandmother also from Kilkenny are said to be buried in Northampton – most likely St. Mary’s Cemetery on Elm Street – no stones have been found (yet). Many of Dennis O’Brien's descendants can be found all over the country, but most in Western Massachusetts and in northern Ohio.

The extended Mayo-origin Durkin family is also of intense interest beginning with Martin (# 70295671) who came to Cleveland, Ohio in 1888.

Morrisseys in the St. Croix and Polk County areas of Wisconsin are also of interest.
