I have been working on various lines of my family history for about 30 years now. I used to go to my grandmother's home in western Kansas and read the original Brodbeck genealogy and be fascinated by those who came before me. I wanted to know more than just the names and the dates. I took on the task of trying to find photos and obituaries on as many of my relatives as possible. I have tromped thru cemeteries in the bone-chilling cold of winter (Ashtabula) and the heat of summer (Illinois). I wanted to understand the who and why of family. Many people have opened their homes to me over the years. I love family history!
