I ventured out one day and found
A fallen leaf upon the ground.
From whence it came, I did not know
till looking up, the wind did blow.

I noticed branches reaching out,
as if to holler, scream, and shout.
With that, I took the time to see
All that, in life, surrounded me.

It spoke, as if to say my limb
Was scattered in amongst by Him.
Now, I can run the other way
Or I can kneel right here and pray.

You see, it matters to the world
The path our lives are tossed and hurled
For some can’t speak up for themselves
To share those things found on their shelves.
