Bio

I "adopted" the Florence Amercan Cemetery & Memorial (Find a Grave Cemetery #1977679) in Italy about 18 km south of Florence. I've put the PLOTs on the memorials. I'm trying to fill in birth date and place (glad to find WWII Draft Cards!), parents, wife and, If, there are cenotaphs, I link the cenotaph and BURIAL.

I am interested in genealogy and this is a good fit. I like to include as much information as possible in memorials. That includes links to spouses and parents plus photos which include the individual's head, foot, and/or tombstones and a family marker where possible. I include obits when I can find them online or in newspapers; however, do NOT knowingly include names of any living relatives.

I also like to link the individuals in memorials I add to their parents and spouses. I send edits to link families together and to correct errors in memorials as I find them.

If you have suggestions/corrections/updates to any memorials I manage, please use the Edit tab. It makes it much easier for me to accept than having to go into the memorial and edit it. Thank you for your consideration.

If you send me an edit and I accept, I will put a sentence in the BIO Information thanking the member for whatever they provide, eg, birth place, links to parents, etc. You did the work to find the info; I didn't. If I don't accept the edit, I will tell you. "Not accurite. Their data conflicks with my data." tells me jack. I could put the ages in the censuses in the Bio Info.

I am trying to include as many graves in Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan, Coweta County, Georgia. If I have entered a relative of yours and you'd like to manage the memorial, please ask. I am also adding photos of memorials shown in Oak Hill as time allows.

I am looking for information on the following and their families:
Henry H. Wheeler (1810-1896),
Mary Polly Chamlee Wheeler (1814-1859),
David Washington Upton (1799-1890),
Susan Rebecca Tomlin Upton (1812-1879),
Gillam Kidd (1815-1890),
Nancy Gibson Kidd (1815-1856)
Thomas Ashley (c. 1829-1862),
Elizabeth Cox Ashley Lee (1843-1915),
William P Estep (c. 1805-c. 1855),
Moses Hughes (1797-1864),
Martha Ann Wright (1823-c. 1855),
Anderson D. Smith (c. 1810-c. 1870),
Terrell B. Cochran (1817-1868), and
Daniel McSwain (1831-1885).
Most were from the Carolinas but lived most of their lives in Cherokee, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Hall, Milton, Campbell, Heard, Coweta, and Marion counties in Georgia. Would appreciate info. Please send family info directly to my e-mail address. Thanks.
