I received your sac. I went ahead and just transferred him to you. If the family decides to join then you can just transfer to them. Very nice of you to this for them!

Have a great weekend! ~Deb

Earl Whittaker Family
I hadn't forgotten your message-
I found the obituary (listed below) on the internet. Also located Find A Grave Memorial #72836648 for Leon, and made an edit asking for him to be linked to his parents. I changed Earl's birth date to "unknown" since that was a mistake.

Robert Leon Whittaker, 76, died Wednesday May 18, 2011 at the Hays Medical Center, Hays.
Whittaker was born May 3, 1935 in Dodge City. He was the son of Otis Jesse and Velda Dora (Israel) Whittaker. Whittaker was a resident of Great Bend, moving there in 1953.
He was graduated in 1953 from Ingalls High School, Ingalls. He managed an auto body shop before retiring. Whittaker was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Great Bend and the Barton County Community College Booster Club.
Whittaker married Arleen L. Smith September 2, 1955 at the First Christian Church in Great Bend. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters Sheryl Butler, and husband, Mike, Hays, Kan.; Michelle Benoit, and husband, Doug, Esbon, Kan.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Jesse Otis, Terrill and Earl Ross Whittaker.
Cremation has taken place. The Memorial service will be Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Great Bend, Kan. with Revs. Kenton Rohrberg and Adam Wutka officiation.
Inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials may be made to DREAM Inc. (Children's campus), Hays, or to the American Cancer Society. Arrangments made by Charter Funerals, 2115 Washington, Great Bend, Kan. 67530, 620/793-6161.

Thanks for your patience!

RE: Pine Cemetery Mercer County, MO
Thank you for looking it up for me, I appreciate it. I will also look up funeral homes in the area. I tried the county court house & they didn't know anything & they suggested the library & I got a snippy librarian that said she was too busy with things at the moment to call back another day...but wasn't sure about the records. So, i'll have to try back & see if i can catch her (or someone) at a less busy time.
I will also try the numbers you listed too. Thank you.

I don't know if listing the info for the cemetery records is actually possible when posting a cemetery, but it'd be nice if people added that kind of info to the directions of finding the cemetery :)

Thank you again for your help.
Alli :)

RE: Thank You
Sorry it has taken so long to get back with you. I am not absolutely positive where Lena and Harriet died or are buried. My guess is that is is in Reno Co, KS. The daughter Arvilla died there in 1923. Walter was there in the census in 1930. It makes sense that they were there during that entire time however, I have not seen a death certificate.

RE: Seth Morgan (link to parents)
Hi, Just came across your message today. Yes my wife is a cousin to Mary Jane. My wife is the only child of James G Morgan. I have been working on my family geneology as well as filling in some gaps in the Morgan Family that Mary Jane hasn't done. Mary Jane has picked up the ball from her Grandmother Agnes Morgan Dick and has done a fantastic job of research and recording the history from way back when. I she Mary Jane at the Geneology meetings we have from time to time. Thanks for contacting me and glad I was able to help you. D

RE: Gerald Dale
I don't know whether the person whose name you mentioned is a Find A Grave member or how she feels about receiving credit, but I always try to respect privacy in my postings. I also try to include verifiable sources in contributions to biographies. Often the name of the contributor is all that's available, but that at least gives viewers who want more information a place to start.

Thank you.

George H. Fountain
I just submitted an edit for D.O.B and D.O.D and place of death. It was taken from an article called "Horse & Buggy Days, The History of Clark County by General S.J. Conklin. The article appeared in the Clark County Courier in 20 July 2016 --my mother did not date it. The local paper has been running this series for several months now and there are several more starting the week of July 27, 2016 done years ago by Dollie, George's wife. If you are interested, I will be more than happy to scan and email to you. However, I would need your e-mail address as attaching to a public message cannot be done, at least, I do not know how. My paternal family were born and raised in the Clark. I recall my grandmother talked about the Fountains.

Best Regards,
