In August 2015 I mailed a CD containing all my West Delavan Lutheran Church records, photos, newspaper articles, etc. to the Faribault county Historical Society & Winnebago Museum to use/share however they wish to. Would consider mailing a copy of CD upon request to interested persons.
(Retired teacher interested in geneology.) I started out taking pictures of relatives' graves; this led to trying to put the West Delavan Lutheran cemetery (Faribault county MN) people on Findagrave. It is partly a tribute to my grandmother Agnes Lokensgard-Kasperson. Mom, Grandma & I would all go together before Memorial Day & decorate the graves. As a young girl, I would tag along & listen to Grandma's stories regarding the many relatives buried at West Delavan Lutheran cemetery. Currently, I have relatives from six generations buried in the cemetery.
ELCA church records for West Delavan Lutheran Church of Faribault county are now showing up on Ancestry.com. It is good to know that these records are preserved & shared. Also, any pictures that I have posted--you are free to download.
My purpose is to honor these kind, gentle, generous people that I had the privilege to grow up among.
