Bio

My name is Stephanie and I live in CT. I'm an amateur historian and genealogist. Part of my family has been in Connecticut for over 400 years. I am a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (GSMD), Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Daughters of the Union (DU), and the Connecticut Gravestone Network (CGN). I am descended from the 2nd governor of Plymouth Colony, Mayflower passenger Governor William Bradford, as well as the founder of the Colony of Connecticut, Thomas Hooker. In addition, I'm descended from at least 4 founders of Hartford CT and at least 8 founders of New Haven CT. I'm a member of my local historical society. I love history, genealogy and ancestry. I'd be happy to help you in any way I can!

Several years ago, I completed working on the Colonel Raymond F. Gates Memorial Cemetery in Rocky Hill CT. This is a veterans cemetery which was only 8% photographed when I started. I have taken pictures of every single stone in the cemetery (about 1,600 stones), uploaded, and added missing memorials too.
